Call for Papers
The Conference Committee invites proposals for 20 minute papers on all aspects of Lawrence's life and work. Delegates are encouraged to relate their presentations to any topics suggested by the conference theme – 'Return to Eastwood' – but we are nonetheless eager to present all new work relating to any aspect of D.H. Lawrence studies: his life, work, influence and significance. We are also interested in developing a strand specifically concerned with 'Teaching DHL': papers addressing pedagogic issues are most welcome. As in previous years, there will be themed, parallel sessions to incorporate all the paper presentations.
It is anticipated that selected papers from the event will be published in a conference volume, and/or in the D.H. Lawrence Review and/or the Journal of D.H. Lawrence Studies.
If you would like to present a paper, you may wish initially to discuss your presentation with the Conference Director directly, at Director@dh-lawrence.org. Please send a 250-300 word abstract or overview. When you register for the conference, you will also be asked to submit your abstract, if you wish to make a presentation.
The deadline for Paper and Presentation proposals is 31 March, 2007. However, delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts ahead of this deadline to facilitate organisation - and there are savings on 'Early Bird' conference registration made before 31 October, 2006.
